Hockey Mental Edge Quote Anze Kopitar on Winning the Cup

"This is unreal. Every single emotion in me is coming out. The biggest thing has been the belief inside the locker room. We had 25 guys believing in one thing. I can't be more proud of the guys."

Kings' forward Anze Kopitar on winning the Stanley Cup (from NHL.com)

  1. Anze is just unbelievable! Knowing his past I really appreciate he achieved one of his main goals in life - to play in NHL and to win a Stanley Cup. He indeed was a talented player as a youngster, but the amount of hard work and dedication he put in hockey are now finally paying off. Slovenians are surely proud of him!

  2. You confused me I thought it was the actual Anze Kopitar. :) Kopitar was praised for his two-way hockey during the playoffs and I thought he played very solid hockey much of the time. He did not need to be overly offensive because the team was playing great defensively. He showed professionalism playing within the system while still being one of the main offensive threats. Slovenians should be proud. The Finals Game 1 OT goal should not be forgotten. If he doesn't bury his chance the Kings may have been staving off elimination in Game 6.
